Born Rafael Lanzone Valiente, Jimbo is an Italian-Spanish artist born in Asturias (Spain) in 1993 and raised in the western coast of Liguria. He is a rapper, songwriter and DJ.
After four years in Australia, he settled in Bologna in 2016. He actively participates in the local underground hip-hop and clubbing scene by joining store, Homequest, a Bologna-based crew and label dedicated to house and hip-hop productions, with which he signs several musical partnerships and releases singles within compilations. He then became a collaborator of DJ Rou within L'Archivio 40100 (now Archivio180), a record store and creative hub now controlled by 47011 Records and the Bologna office of Rocket Radio.
In 2019, it was released Jimbo's first solo EP, Passion Light, question: the California-based label Lips & Rhythm, a EP hip-hop/R’n’B released only on 7" vinyl and then reissued digitally in early 2020 by 47011 Records.
In 2020, with DJ Rou and jazz guitarist Sci-Low, he released in May an EP titled INPS (Illegal New Pandemic Sound) under the pseudonym "Soul Providence" and in December his first solo album, "Ain't Eazee," an album rooted in more classic hip-hop, both Italian and American, and Soul RnB.
In June 2021, he left Bologna to return to Spain, to Barcelona, where he opened Perros Mediteranneos, a record store and cultural bar.
Nel 2022 2023 si concentra sulla carriera da dj e suona in club e festival a Barcellona, Berlino e in tutta Italia, nel 2024 torna al microfono e fa uscire il singolo hip-hop Rap Salvadanaio.
